Managing Director
David founded Newport Consulting after a successful operational improvement consulting career spanning 20 years. His vision for Newport is to add real value to an organisation's business performance through operational excellence. David has worked on approximately 40 operational improvement projects with leading Australian, New Zealand and international companies. Karin Haberl
Director of Finance
Karin Haberl established Newport Consulting with David Hand with the shared vision to develop a consultancy committed to achieving operational excellence for companies in Australia and New Zealand. As Director of Finance, Karin brings to Newport a strong financial background and skills set that ensures a high level of corporate governance and compliance. Earlier in her career she held a number of roles within financial services where her main responsibilities covered financial and management accounting and reporting.
John Pope
Director
John is a business leader with more than 30 years experience in consulting, finance and management. John is responsible for business development and client relationship management. He has held director positions with organisations including the Sydney Organising Committee for the Olympic Games and Telstra where he was responsible for strategy, IT and finance across a $9b group of businesses. Linda Calkin
General Manager, New Zealand
Linda is a motivated leader with more than 25 years of business experience. Linda is responsible for collaborating with decision makers of New Zealand companies, tailoring programmes to suit their specific needs. She has worked with a diverse range of New Zealand companies helping them to increase performance through productivity improvement, cost reduction, revenue growth, new product design, service development and procurement solutions. Linda previously held senior management roles for New Zealand Post and AXA NZ.
Mark Bagster
Associate Director
Mark is a highly experienced business leader with more than 30 years experience in consulting, human resources and senior management. As Associate Director, Mark is responsible for Newport Consulting's business growth and client relationship management. Mark brings to Newport more than 5 years of senior management experience in the management consulting industry.
